Snapshots from Ellie's world...

Every day is full of new adventures for Ellie! We just love everyday!Snuggling with Daddy right after getting out of bed for the day!

Mommy and Ellie in their "puffy vests"

6 months old and definitely more mobile!
Ellie can't crawl yet, but she is an expert at scooting backwards
and often finds herself getting stuck under the furniture!

Kisses from Daddy are the best!

We moved the coffee table out of the living room so Ellie could have more room
to explore and play! Sometimes she plays so hard she falls right to sleep on her playmat!
*
And finally...it was a momentous day in Ellie's life today!
She had rice cereal for the very first time...
Yes, I know...over 6 months old and just now having solid
(or somewhat solid) food for the first time!
So, we put up the highchair and Ellie experienced her first messy bites!
Not sure she was TOO crazy about it, but it's bound to get better from here, right? :)

6 month birthday!

Here she is! Our little princess... I can't believe how fast she is growing and changing. I think she is happier by the day and oh, so much fun!!! My favorite part of everyday is going into her room in the morning and seeing this big bright smile. She's getting to be such a big girl and I just wish I could slow down time. Before long, she's not going to be my little baby anymore... So, we will cherish each day and make the most of it! I can't tell you how thankful I am for my little Ellie Hope...

Ellie's First Christmas continued!

After we left Iowa, we headed south to Kentucky for our Christmas with the Johnsons! We left the frigid 2 degree weather and believe it or not, it was in the 70's when we got to Kentucky! What a difference a few states will make. :)

Ellie got to meet her Uncle Josh for the first time and the two of them became really good buddies, for sure. Uncle Josh just carried her around and anytime she would make a peep, he would get up and walk with her or bounce her! She was one lucky girl for sure!

We had such a fun time with Grandpa Barry and Grandma Mary, Uncle Josh and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kristin... Ellie definitely got spoiled at both sets of Grandparents! She is one blessed little girl...

Here are a few pics from our time in Kentucky!

We had such a wonderful first Christmas with our precious little girl!!! Thank you Lord for your many blessings in 2008!
