25 weeks...
Here I am...25 weeks and counting... In just 5 days, we'll be under 100 days on the countdown! I can't wait!!! I'm getting so anxious to hold this little girl in my arms! :)
*
I had a Bible Study over at the Chi Omega sorority house tonight and little "Lucy" has become quite the conversation piece! She's not even born yet and the girls are already offering to babysit, feeling my belly and hoping to get to feel her kick!
*
I think we've got quite the acrobat on our hands. She actually woke me up this morning with her gymnastics, kicking me right in the ribs! It has really become my favorite time of day...going to bed at night feeling her wriggle around and waking up to her in the morning.

Life doesn't seem to be slowing down any, so at this rate, we'll blink and it will be July 8th! Still lots to do... I attempted to start cleaning out her room at the end of last week, but still have a bit of work to do on it! We're hoping to paint in a couple of weekends and then put her crib together. OH! And we decided on the froggie bedding and I love it! I was a little sad to not have the pink at first, but the froggies have really grown on me. I'll send a picture when we get the room closer to ready. :)

Thanks for checking in...

Exciting Happenings!
Wow! What an exciting week this last week has been! We just got home last night from our Spring Break trip with 11 of our students. We travelled to Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky...over 2000 road miles together and what a BLAST! It really was the trip of a lifetime in a lot of ways. We got to stay with Joel's parents in Kentucky for the last couple of days of our adventure. They were great to host all of the students in their home. And it was the first time they got to see me "showing"! So fun... They call little "Lucy" the "princess"... until we reveal her real name when she's born. The students have started to call her Baby Lucy, so it might be hard to switch in July. :) Maybe Lucy will always be her nickname.
While we were there, we got to see our friends Tim and Michelle who are due with a baby boy just 2 weeks after us. They are naming him Griff, so Griff and Lucy got to hang out! Michelle and I got our picture taken, so here I am at 24 weeks and her at 22 weeks.
The other exciting news of our week is that "Lucy" has a new cousin!!! Wyatt Joseph McCulley was born on Friday, March 14th at 8:08am and weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 oz. He is just adorable and I can't wait to meet him and hold him in a couple short weeks! In my opinion, he looks exactly like Joe! I am in love with him already!!! Here are a couple of pics of the new little man.
So as you can see, it's been a wonderful week! So much to be thankful for... God is so good.

23 weeks...
Another week down... The days are flying by... I can tell that baby is getting stronger and bigger. When she kicks now, I can usually feel her in two or three places! So, I think she must kick and punch at the same time. :) According to the websites, the bones inside her ears are hardened now, so she can hear outside noises and our voices now. Last night, Joel and I were sitting in a class we're taking and the speaker was telling a story where about 3 times, he got really loud. Each time he'd change to his loud voice, I would feel her jump! I think it startled her! She definitely always brings a huge smile to my face... I am trying really hard to journal all of these experiences because I know otherwise I will forget...
Life is still very busy on campus right now, but I'm sure hoping things will slow down a little by the end of the month so I can focus some more on getting ready for Baby! April is going to be an important month to get her room ready because we leave in early May and will be gone for that whole month...getting home a little less than 4 weeks before she is due! So, we have some work to do before we leave! I've picked out the crib and the bedding (thanks for your votes!)...just need to get them all ordered...
Loving this journey,
jen

22 down...18 to go!
Growing, growing, growing!!! Both ME and the baby! According to the websites, our little chica is approx. 1lb by the end of this week. Wow!
Still having so much fun... Just yesterday I was sitting and having my quiet time and I felt her kicking away... I looked at my belly and could actually see it JUMP. Such a fun and strange experience, all at the same time. :) She's definitely getting stronger and I'm feeling her more each day...

Her first outfits...
I meant to post this last night with my other post, but forgot... Here are the first outfits that our little girl received! Some are gifts and others I saw and couldn't resist! I don't know if you can read the one in the upper left hand corner, but I bought it before we even found out we were having a girl... and it says "I was worth the wait"... I could't help myself!

My little night owl...
What a busy weekend it has been! Baby girl got to experience her first Navigators Laborer's Conference in-utero this weekend... I thought maybe she would be as worn out as I am after the weekend, but here it is 10pm and she's doin' her thing! Kicking up a storm... I don't know if this will be any indicator as to how she will be AFTER birth, but right now she is QUITE the night owl! Thursday night at our Nav Night, she started kicking away about 9pm when the music started... then again at 11pm when I was typing on my computer... then when we finally got ready to head to bed at 1am, she gave Daddy his first kick! Right in his back! I think it took him a bit by surprise... :)
Pregnancy has been so much fun so far... I was realizing today that as excited as I am for her to be born... I think I'll be a little sad to not be able to feel her move inside me. It really is so amazing... I'm so thankful that God is giving me this incredible opportunity. What a miracle.
Another little pregnancy "funny"... I don't think I'm quite used to my belly yet! I keep forgetting that I am changing quite a bit physically and can't do the things I have done for the last 31 years! First of all, I am a fanatic about always wearing a belt. It's like a major catastrophe if I get somewhere and forgot a belt. Well...as is pretty obvious, there have been no belts for me over the last two months. In fact, it's been a long time since I've even been able to button my pants, let alone wear a belt! Thank goodness for this great creation called a "bella band" that has allowed me to keep wearing my normal jeans...so far anyway. :)
And last but not least...because I'm not used to my belly, I keep bumping into things and people with it! I forget that it's there and think that I can still squeeze through tight places, etc. Today I was trying to squeeze between two people at the conference, and while it usually wouldn't be a problem, I rammed this poor guy. Oops!
Anyway, just a few little notes from the journey... Now I'm off to bed...at 10:30pm! Wow, that's early! :)
